I cannot believe that my dreams have come true. It all seems like a dream, and it has only been two short days since we have been together.

I had the long weekend off, and I planned to go skiing with some of my friends. I was not sure if I wanted to do this, as I still did not feel very sociable after the hard break up I had been through. I was on the heartbreak end of a relationship that I thought might be "the one." Steve had been so kind and gentle when we first were together. They say hindsight is 20/20, well, I should have known better. I resolved to guard my heart from any more pain. But, by doing this, I had made myself a bit of a social pariah. But my good friend had called with the offer to go skiing, and since it is a favorite thing of mine to do, I told her I would go with her.

Early the next morning, Suzie and her boyfriend Matt arrived and we loaded my gear into Matt's Jeep. Suzie is one of my lifelong friends, she and I have known one another since elementary school, and we are as close as sisters. She had been concerned about my state of mind, and she decided to take matters into her own hands. After we had been on the road for about 10 minutes, she turned around and told me about the condo she had rented up in the mountains. It sounded like a mountain paradise. While listening, I had not noticed that we were stopping. Matt got out of the Jeep and told us he would be right back.
