Dave showered and dressed for dinner. "Why don't you wait in the bar for me while I get ready" Ali told him with a sly smile.

He knew she had picked up some new clothes for their vacation and she wanted to surprise him. Dave went to one of the bars in the breezeway entrance to the formal restaurant of the resort to wait for his woman. He sipped a Sapphire and tonic and made some small talk with the bartender. "Hi Dave." Marc's voice said from behind. "I see that I'm not the only one that was told to go away while my girlfriend gets dressed."

"Yeah, me too. I figured I would have a drink." Dave motioned to the stool beside him. "What can I get for you?"

"You seem like a man of pretty good taste, I'll have what your having" Marc's response hinting that he might want a little more than what was in the glass.

The two men made some small talk, getting to know each other's backgrounds a little more than they were able to on the short shuttle ride from the airport to the resort. Dave learned that although Marc was six years younger, he too had a pretty hectic work schedule that kept him from being with his girlfriend often.
