One July Christmas

One July evening Santa sat staring out the window. As usual the scenery was snow covered ground with twinkling stars in the sky. The perfect evening at the North Pole. He yawned. He was bored. Bored of the cheery fire, the fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate milk. He wanted a change. In his lap, his own pole was hard as ice and craving attention.

"Oh, Mrs. Claus!" he called.

"Yes, Santa dear?" came the reply from the bowels of the ever busy kitchen.

He grunted, she would never stir herself to come when he called her. "Come here for a moment, would you dear? I wish to speak with you."

A sigh, some mumbled words and heavy footsteps. Not that she was as big as legend made her to be. Clara was quite svelte. Big breasts and the thick outer wear required to keep warm in the Pole were what gave the impression she was fat. Santa knew some of the elves drooled after her and it made him puff up with pride. She appeared in the doorway of his den.
