The Coleman lamp shone low as she frowned slightly over the collection. Alphabatizing butterflies wasn't quite as easy as she'd hoped. But she'd gotten some beautiful specimens before the wind began to kick up. She'd retired to her tent before the canyon became littered with dead butterflies once painstakingly sorted alphabetically by genus.

The smell of smoke brought her attention back to earth. Smoke? Where there was smoke .....

She clambered out of the tent in time to see the fire that had begun in a bush off to the right of her tent extinguished by a bear of a man. He watched the smouldering bush carefully as she sheepishly came up behind him.

"Looks like I forgot about the campfire." She said, sheepishly.

The man turned at the sound of her voice and looked at her. "Looks like you did." he said, sounding very much like her father chastising her for leaving the lights in her room on all night when she was a kid.

She got a pretty good look at him in the dusks fading light. He was well over six feet tall she could tell, now that he wasn't bent over fighting her single bush brush fire. But his height isn't what made ...
