This is the last in the series that I intend to write. Seems that my stories went from gang busters to start with, with many e-mails letting me know how good they were, and that now have fizzled to nothing more than a mere passing fancy. Guess I should not have fooled myself into thinking I was that good of a writer. Such is life, but enjoy the last in the series anyway.

Part IV: USS Tarawa

We head to Thailand now, and Pattaya Beach where I meet a young German boy, about 25 years of age, sandy blond hair, nice smooth features and could speak English very well. He was there with his parents on holiday, and had asked to come into town away from the resort they were staying in. Once there, he noted the huge ships in the harbor that had not been there previously as well as the sea taxis that were transporting the sailors and Marines from the ships to right onto the beach. We met in one of the open air bars, and he kept looking at me as if he had known me, and could not put a finger on where he had seen me. Finally, he became brave and walked over to where I was sitting and introduced himself as Andre. He told me of how he came to be there, and asked the proverbial, "haven't I seen you somewhere before?"
