Chapter Nine - Pet's Halftime Show

Several weeks after the party, pet had settled in well. Her chores were being completed on time, and there had only been a few minor infractions resulting in punishment. So you can imagine my surprise when I came home and she wasn't waiting for me on her pillow. I scanned the hall, and then called out for her.

"Pet? Are you here?" I called as I walked down the hallway. I went into the playroom and found her, drying off quickly as she drained the tub. As soon as she saw me, she dropped to her knees.

"I- I- I fell asleep, master," she said, her eyes downcast. "I am so sorry."

I was very upset. I had been ready to reward her immensely for her near-perfect behavior and now this! A major breach in the rules.

"To your table, pet," I ordered coldly as I turned away. She crawled off quickly and went straight to the table, assuming the usual position. Her head was down and her eyes were already filled with tears. As I walked towards her I realized that she had had a very late night last night. Then I shook myself. You don't get well trained slaves by being a pushover.
