CHAPTER 5: KATIE & GEOFF

It was eight o'clock and Julian was going back to his house. He said he didn't wanna plan anything with me and Julio to get back at Bobby Zieghen. I hated to watch him go (I liked it too, but that's another thing), but I couldn't call him back neither. My head was kinda spinning. I was falling in love with this guy, dammit, I felt it and hated it and cherished it at the same time. This was all so fucking new to me. If you spend a great deal of your time pretending to be straight for roughly eighteen years, you really don't know how to act when you meet a guy you think is more than right. For some stupid reason - one I would be confronted with later and ashamed off - my feelings froze me. When he reached my fence he looked back and waited, giving me a chance to call him back and drop the retaliation act, but I didn't.

‘Call me,' I said to him.

He nodded, then stood there staring at me. This cowardly approach almost got to me, his eyes all pleading and reasoning, but again I didn't do what he wanted me to. I looked back at him, asking him to come back inside without using words cause saying it would make it cheap. We both waited for some time.
