I was sitting at home watching TV when the phone rang. It was about 9:30 and I was wondering who could be calling since my girlfriend, Julie, had said she was going out with some friends.

"Hi, handsome," said the voice on the other end.

It was Carrie, one of the friends my wife was to have gone out with that night.

"Hi," I replied. "What are you doing?"
