It had been a couple of days since Chico and I had seen each other. I was busy at work, and I'm sure he was doing his own thing too. I got home from grocery shopping and checked my voicemail, as usual. There was only one message, and it was from Chico. "Hey man," he said in a very casual tone of voice. "I got your note. Very cool! Give me a call at home, and mabie we can hang out tonight. What do you think? Later man." Hearing that message made me feel weak in the knees, but I quickly dialed Chico's number and he answered on the first ring.

"Hey Chico, I got your message. Whatcha' up to?"

"Oh, hey there. I'm just about to take a shower. I just woke up from a nap. Wana come over?"

"Sure," I said, my voice cracking a little.

"Come on over right now. You can let yourself in through the kitchen. Let me know when you get here." We said goodbye, and I quickly went out the door. As I drove to his house, I kept saying to myself that I couldn't believe I was going through with it again. And this time it was pre-arranged.
