Last summer, my wife and I were going through a bit of a rough patch. We weren't arguing or fighting with each other. It was just that we hadn't made love in weeks and the strain was getting to both of us. I had been doing shift work for a while and we found that we didn't have much time to spend together. When we were alone one or the other of us was usually too tired to get romantic.

At around this time, my wife's cousin Joanna phoned up inviting us to stay with her and her husband Carlos at their villa in Spain for a week. We both jumped at the chance.
