Chapter 2

When I got up on Sunday, after watching my neighbor pleasuring himself a few hours earlier, I ate breakfast and helped my wife unpack some of the heavier boxes. We worked up quite a sweat and I decided to go out and work on cleaning and sweeping out the pool, so I could put the chemicals in it, to make it usable. I was only in the pool for about 5 minutes and concentrating on what I was doing, when someone said, "Hey guy, what's up?" I just about jumped out of the water, completely, he had startled me so much. I spun around in the water to face the direction the voice was coming from, and there stood Dave, leaning against the pool, with his elbow on the top edge, as he lit a cigarette, and inhaled lung full of smoke, and exhaled it in a long, drawn out breath. He was wearing a pair of mirrored sunglasses and was shirtless. He had a shit-eating grin on his face, and said, "Didn't scare ya, did I?" As he laughed and acted like he was jumping, imitating my earlier reaction to his sudden appearance.

I talked to him for a few minutes as I continued to sweep the pool's bottom, and felt like his eyes were watching every move I was making. With his mirrored sunglasses hiding his eyes, I could verify it, by sneaking a peek out the corner of my eye. He asked how things were going, and I told him it was going pretty good, but that it was going to get interesting when I got to the middle. The pump would suck the stuff up, but it would eventually need back washed in order to finish ...
