Taming the Beast

Natalya blew the stray hairs out of her face. She'd been working outside all damn day tending to her herb garden. The burglars had trampled it when they were stealing her TV. "Great," she had thought. "Now, not only can I not watch TV, but I can't cook either." She was a sort of surly woman. Pretty, in fact, gorgeous, but extremely disgruntled. She had long hair; it came down to the backs of her thighs when it wasn't braided. She kept it braided, mostly, though, and that's how it was today. She was wearing black pants and a wool shirt. It was frigidly cold, but she was used to it. Russia was always "just the right amount of cold" right at the end of the summer. Soon it would be too cold to go outside, and too cold for her garden to thrive, so she didn't know why she was bothering. Deciding at last that the endeavor wasn't worth her time, she went inside and got a fire going. Soon, the flames were leaping high in the chimney, and the house was comfortably warm. She decided to slink into the bath to relax.

She closed the door to the bathroom, and, seeing no reason to lock the door simply turned and began to undress.
