It was that time of year again. My wife's family had a big reunion every year at the beginning of summer. I didn't really enjoy them too much, but they didn't bother me either. It was always interesting to see the family dynamics. So we packed up and headed out.

My wife Cindy was the next to youngest of four. She had two older brothers and a younger sister. Her younger sister was always trying to be the center of attention and always seemed to be jealous of her siblings. It was very funny to watch how the siblings all interacted. All of the kids were married and had children of their own.

This year's reunion was at a national park where six cabins had been rented. One for the parents, four for each of the four kids and another for all of the children of the children. Since they ranged from 17 to 7, everyone thought it would be good for them to have their own cabin.

The first day clearly showed that the youngest still was jealous of everyone else and her husband just smiled and rolled his eyes at his wife when she acted crazy. The first day we had a large outdoor supper and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone. I helped cook as did my wife and her younger sister's husband.
