Rob arrived home from work at twenty to four. Mark and I were playing with Eric on a blanket stretched out on the floor. He has a musical kick toy that he just loves and Mark and I were enjoying watching him laugh and grin when he hit the toy with his tiny feet. Rob walked in dropping his jacket onto the couch, and leaned over kissing Eric gently.

"Hey Mark, Hey Bay," Rob let out an exhausted sigh as he kissed me on the forehead. Seeming unsurprised that I was still there, and dressed in yesterdays clothes. "I am going to shower and change, then steal my son," Rob told us. He was dressed in a business suit and he never looked comfortable dressed that way. He preferred jeans and tight fitting tee shirts, and they suited him better too. His features to feminine for such masculine clothing.

"You sure you don't want a nap first?" Mark asked him. Thinking just what I had been, Rob looked dead on his feet. The reason Alan had fathered Eric had been largely due to Rob's health problems. He had been in remission from leukemia for almost 5 years. And while he was mostly healthy, he was again being treated for severe anemia.

"Positive Mark. You are supposed to take care of my son, not me," Rob told him with a smile. "You and Bailey should go out to dinner or something." He undid his tie and dropped it onto his jacket.
