Driving down the dirt road to camp this summer it already seemed that things were going to be different than last year. There was a fresh coat of paint on the sign, a new deck for fishing, and a brand new pool for the long hot summer days ahead (which I was looking foward to tanning my 6', 210lb built body at on a daily basis). Being a senior counselor at this camp meant that I got to move in a couple days early, choose which cabin to be in, and pick which counselors were going to be working under me this summer. I made sure to make it to the head office right away to get my first choice. You see, there is one boys cabin that has a counselor room down the hallway from where the campers sleep (all of the counselors in other cabins have to sleep in the rooms with the kids), so I made sure to put down my name on this cabin. When looking through the counselor files there was all kinds of information from age to favorite camps activities along with pictures of all the counselors. I picked out my two cabin mates right away: Austin Towns, a 19 year old college freshman who is into swimming and kyaking (with a smile that just melts you), and Mike Jones, another 19 year old college freshman who is into hiking, fishing, and star gazing.
