I woke to the sound of the front door closing. I rolled over and looked for my boyfriend. Jim, as usual, was already up. I slid out of bed and went to see what he was doing. He was in the kitchen pouring coffee. A Hardee's bag was on the table.

"Morning, Mark," he said and kissed my cheek. "I woke up early and decided to let you sleep. I've already put our suitcases in the car and picked up some breakfast." He slapped my butt. "You better get movin', sleepy head. It's after eight."

"Thanks for letting me sleep. What did you get for breakfast?" I asked.

Jim opened the Hardee's bag. "Some of those biscuit things." He said and handed me a cup of coffee.

We each ate two sausage-egg biscuits and discussed our morning plans.

"We can leave from campus right after class," Jim said. "Everything's in the car. So, there's no need to come back here."

"How long will it take to get to your mom's?" ...
