Traveling Salesman, Chapter 3

Arriving at the airport 3 hours later than scheduled is not usually a delight for anyone, but this trip was sort of the exception to the rule. Having treated myself to a first class seat I found myself to be the only passenger in that section (I could see why, it cost a whole lot more than coach), and thus had the almost undivided attention of 2 beautiful flight attendants. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened but there was a lot of pleasant banter and even more pleasant scenery as their short uniform skirts seemed to be always aiming my way, and at revealing angles, too. We made our good-byes with a quick pat and a standard "Hope to see you soon" which of course would never be arraigned but certainly was an enticing thought. All in all it was the nicest airport delay I'd ever encountered, but I was still 3 hours late. As it was very late in the evening I decided I would just stay at the airport hotel and then drive downtown in the morning rather than stay at the downtown hotel as I'd originally planned.

Just as I'd hoped the airport hotel had a nice bar and restaurant, both of which were still open. After check-in and a quick shower/change I found my way down there, to my favorite kind of place, a bar and restaurant combined. Everything I needed for a comfortable end to my evening. Well, almost everything, but my wife never accompanies me whenever I fly to a meeting.
