CHRIS: THE NUDE MODEL

When I first met my wife, Liz, she was studying art history at the local university. I had attended the same school, and had just graduated. Liz has always been into art of all types. Painting and figure drawing are her favourites, however. Five years have passed, and now we are married and living in our dream home, and Liz still draws and paints, even though she does it more for a hobby than anything else. Still, people sometimes commission her to do portraits, paintings of their houses, etc., and Liz is very good at this and loves the extra money. Most of her business is word-of-mouth, and she takes on a job a few times a year as time permits. Until recently, I didn't pay too much attention to these odd jobs. She has her own study in a room off our garage, and she prefers to work alone without distractions. After what happened two months ago, however, I am definitely paying more attention to her work! Here's the true story.... Liz received a phone call from a girl she knew from school named Lisa. Lisa's sister, Kate, was married to a guy named Chris who had asked Lisa to help him find a local artist who would do a drawing or painting of him to give to his wife Kate for their fifth wedding anniversary. The only catch was that Chris wanted the painting to be done au naturel - he would be a nude model. Liz hesitated when asked, and she told Lisa she would probably do it, but she wanted to check with me first. Also, Liz told her that her fee would be $500 to do such work. Lisa said fine, and asked Liz to let her know right away since the anniversary was only two weeks ...
