Island Neighbor

I loved living on the island! So quiet and peaceful with only 45 homes on the 3 square mile island, you never had to worry about crime or unwanted solicitors. The only way on and off the island was a small private ferry unless you had your own boat. Of course, you knew all your neighbors and there was very little turn-over of properties. A couple of doors away from my place on the beach was the Welts family. The couple (Julia & Frank) had two children, one from a prior marriage that the woman had.
