CHAPTER 16

Four years after Bonnie made her first ride in the elevator to the Penthouse of the Biltmore Hotel, life had been good to both she and Dan. They both had excellent, well paying jobs. They had a large home with a swimming pool. Dan drove a BMW and she had a Chrysler convertible. In fact she had most everything she and Dan had dreamed about while they were dating in college, except one thing, a child.

In the last couple of months, she had finally gotten Dan to at least say that he would think about having a family, which was further than he had ever committed himself before.

She and Brad had gotten together only once in the last three months, and it had been almost four months since Sandra had been in town. Eldon was completely smitten by Roxy, who no longer worked at the bank, in fact, she didn't work at all, she was Eldon's mistress with an apartment, car, the works. <At least it keeps him away from me.> Bonnie thought. But her sex life with Dan had gotten back into a rut. He hadn't changed a bit, and she was afraid to spring any new positions or variations on him. Afraid he might question her about how she had learned them.
