Looking back, I would have to say that I was a pretty sheltered, naïve girl. It was the end of my senior year in high school and I had just turned eighteen. I was definitely not considered a popular girl. My parents were so strict that all of my time was spent on schoolwork, piano lessons, tutoring, or volunteer work - anything that would look good on my college applications. I never got to watch T.V. or hang out at the mall. My parents were also strict about the way I dressed. I wasn't allowed to where jeans or sneakers to school! Needless to say, the girls weren't interested in being my friend. I did get attention from the boys.

I'm not trying to boast when I say I'm a pretty girl. I mean, even though you could never see it under these plain clothes, I've got a great body. Thin with a lot of curves and long, brown hair. The boys may have paid attention to me but my parents had a strict no-dating policy. After turning down several boys, word got around that I was some kind of ice maiden.
