Sloan Part II - The Awakening

In part one of this story our narrator, Curt, falls for the waitress at the diner, Sloan. Sloan is exotic and about 15 years younger. Last night they made wonderful love and fell asleep together in her bed. Let's join them as the sun rises.

I woke up to the sound of a rooster's crow. That's the price you pay for living in rural Maine. As I opened my eyes I was startled to see Sloan sitting up next to me, her legs pulled up in front of her, silent tears running down her cheeks.

I sat up and asked, "Sweetheart, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"I've never done this before," was her soft reply. Her voice was barely audible.

"Oh, god, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were a virgin. It was so awesome, I assumed you'd done it before." I was stammering trying to make up for assuming that she was an experienced lover. Oddly, Sloan's expression immediately went from sad to laughter.

"You dope, of course I've had sex before." Now, she was laughing, A LOT.
