When I ran into Mark in the video store, it was the first time I had seen him in almost three years. The last time was right after graduation. Until then we had been "joined at the hip" all through college. A lot of people thought we were brothers, but we were really just best friends and room mates at the dorm. We both worked and studied our fair share, but we partied even harder.

It seemed like the years that we had lost touch were mere hours when we met again. Mark and I picked up right where we left off. We went to a local bar and had a few beers to catch up. Eventually Mark told me that he and a coworker were going camping the following weekend and asked if I wanted to go.

Now back in the good old days, camping meant getting completely wasted and playing with fire while talking about sex like we were experts. I hadn't done anything this irresponsible in a long time. It sounded like just the thing I needed to shift gears in my life. So it was all arranged.

Friday after work I drove down to the lake, after making a pit stop for ice and whole lot of beers. When I arrived Mark and his friend Brian were already there.
