Lena Stood at the open window and looked at the vast expanse absent-mindedly. She was wondering if she had done the right thing in coming to this far off lonely place. The cool wind was blowing gently at her face but she welcomed the searing cold, as it seemed to lull the heat inside her. The economical recession had cost her job in the city and the long absence of her boyfriend Jamie made her to leave the city for a while. Jamie was in Switzerland and will not be back for at least a year. She was badly missing him with her body and soul craving for him and the city only added to her misery.

Although she could afford to live a while longer in the city without a job, she wanted to keep herself occupied and away. This offer seemed like a welcome chance and an opportunity to see new territory. The old man whom she had come to help out seemed to be a nice person and had offered her a decent salary with free stay in the house. Of course looking after the sick old man was no easy job, but she liked the chance to help a man old enough to be her grandfather.

She was so immersed in her thoughts that she did not hear the knock on the door or the door being opened. She was not aware that the man, who served the old man as chauffeur and odd jobs man, stood at the door and ...
