One Good Deed Deserves Another

Office, 8:35AM

Monday was never a good day. This Monday however, topped the chart. I walked into the office feeling completely tired from a whole night of phone calls. It was Singapore again. It seems that there were some kind of problem with the production on my latest program and I ended up talking to the managers there trying to figure out what happened. Completely exhausted, I was not pleased to find my email inundated with messages from every one concerned. It seemed everyone had an opinion on what the problem was. I grumped unhappily. Before the facts were remotely assembled, some geniuses already had answers.

Scanning the screen while sipping my first cup of coffee, I searched for the email containing information that I requested the night before. Completely lost in my own train of thought I did not notice the knock on the door. It did not matter anyway. Courtney stormed in without my acknowledgement, visibly troubled and looking haggard.

"You know, I like to go through one issue without having to hear it first from the VP of the company in the elevator." She said with the typical disgusts and fury. "I mean Philp got my number at home, he can call me for crying out loud! I was caught totally unprepared!"
