It was late in the afternoon and the world was sparkley. Nicole weaved cheerfully down the street as it wobbled and twisted before her. She sang half-remembered songs, giggling whenever she forgot the words and then starting again with an entirely different song or sometimes a weird mix of two songs. The buildings around her jiggled like they were made out of gelatin. She blinked and giggled as she realized she had completely forgotten where she was going. It was a very pretty afternoon, though, so she decided not to worry about it. She continued stumbling down the street, turning corners at random, waving at people who stared at her as she passed.

She turned down one street and coming towards her was a group of sweaty men in green soccer uniforms. They matched her dress, she noticed, and she giggled.
