“Meat-market”.

That’s pretty much how to describe the fraternity parties at my school. Hundreds of young kids barely out of high school and definitely NOT old enough to legally drink packed in a small area. The air is hot, stuffy, and smoky, and the music is blasting so loudly that you can’t even hear the people next to even if they’re screaming at you. I shake my head as I recall how tough all the guys tried to look and how attention-seeking all the girls were. Sure, 99% of the partygoers just want to be popular and are desperately trying to get laid, but despite the annoying behavior of people around me, however, the fraternity parties and college in general definitely represent some of the best times of my life.

To be honest, the thing I liked most about the parties (besides hitting on girls, of course) is observing people. All the girls are always wearing tight-fitting tube shirts or tank tops (the guys in my fraternity and I call them “paint-on clothing”) with REALLY short shorts, and it seems like the younger they are, the smuttier they look. I once saw a pack of girls with condom rings clearly outlined in each of their back pockets since their shorts were so tight. The guys are just as funny. They’re either making jackasses out of themselves because they’re so wasted, or trying so hard to get laid by some naïve freshman that I just want to beat the shit out of them for being so pathetic. ...
