"What do you mean we can't leave?" She asked, nearly panicked.

"They have closed all the airports, the war has started." The young soldier stated as fact. "No one can fly in or around this air space right now."

"But I was told I could bring in the care packages for the guys and we would return to the airport. We were supposed be back in the US this evening." She shows him the papers she was given. "This was to build morale for the troops that have been here waiting for the war to start, I brought them some things from home and I was to leave right away."

"I am sorry, no one is leaving on a flight from this airport, if your things were on that flight, you can pick them up over there" he motions to the luggage in the corner.

She sees the Air Guard pilot that flew her and hurries to meet up with him; he sees her and meets her half way. "I am sorry. I thought coming into Turkey would be better, we are still a great distance from the war theater in Iraq, but the whole flight area has been shut off."
