The clock in the kitchen changed to 12:01. I chuckled to myself and strode down the hallway toward Lola's bedroom. Grabbing the handle, I twisted it and pushed my way into the bedroom. The lamps were out, but the dim light of the moon illuminated the figure of my mistress, curled up under her sheets, fast asleep. I stood over her for a moment. She looked so innocent.
