The rain continued to pelt down as Robert made his way to his scheduled appointment. He glanced anxiously as his wristwatch as his footsteps echoed in the empty halls. It was a gloomy grey day at the college, & Robert was apprehensive. Nothing had gone right for him today so far, & he dreaded the encounter he was hurrying to keep. It would just add further to his misery to arrive late, he was in enough trouble as it was.

He began to run on the tiled floor as he heard the college clocktower striking three o'clock. Damn! His watch was slow! He realised he was going to be late unless he ran. Cursing his ill fortune this day, he rounded a turn in the hall & collided with a young female student, knocking her down & scattering her textbooks all over the floor. Oh hell! This was all he needed now!

He squatted down to help his young victim gather up her books & glanced at her as he handed them to her. She was a pretty young thing, about 18 years old with fair skin & a fresh complexion. Her eyes were very blue & intelligent & her hair that of spun gold, cascading around her shoulders. Robert noticed her flustered demeanour & apologising for his recklessness, he was rewarded with a shy smile. He noted with appreciation her petite frame & well proportioned assets.
