When I first met Paul I was ready to hate him. Management had done it to me again. I had asked for a little help, I needed another network engineer to help me maintain the 200 networks that we were responsible for. When they had asked me what qualifications I needed I told them. I need a guy with a BS in Computer Information Science or in MIS. At the very least I need a CNE or an MCSE. So management goes down to the local Computer Technical Learning Center and found me a nice green A+ certified tech that they could hire real cheap. I needed a network engineer so the get me a useless, card swapping, screwdriver jockey. I was depressed I was sure the tests they took at that school where one sentence true/false test. Did your check clear, if true bang, you're certified. When Paul showed up I was real careful with his certificate I was sure the ink hadn't even dried yet.

Paul however turned out to be a diamond in the rough. He was respectful, intelligent, and had a hunger to learn. I never had to show him anything twice. Before you knew it I was sending Paul all over the country he had become a genuine help to me. Paul was my right hand so to speak.
