Chapter 17

Mr. Blakely left word for Melissa to contact him as soon as she came into the plant, Monday morning. Oh heck! What's up? Did I do something wrong? Calling him on the phone, she was relieved to hear him ask her to go to lunch. She told him that she would come to his office at eleven forty-five. Melissa was far from completing her order when it was time to go to Mr. Blakely's office.

He was in an excellent mood as Melissa drove to Carlos O'Kelly's. The parking lot was nearly full, but, they went inside anyway and were told that they would have a fifteen minute wait. Melissa suggested that they go someplace else, but he reminded her that they would probably have to wait, no matter where they went.

"Melissa. Hi." She heard someone shout. Turning, she saw Krystal waving at her.

"Oh, there's a friend of mine. No, two friends." She said to Mr. Blakely. "Mind if I ask them to join us."
