I grew up in a religion that taught me certain "values." This included the idea that a woman should not grasp her sexuality, nor should have thoughts about anything sexual. Furthermore, having sex was labeled as taboo (to say the least). But as a [censored], when summer rolled around, I found myself straddling the water jets in the swimming pool because it felt so good! So I knew that there had to be something I had not been told.

My adolescent years followed, and I discovered that I could bring about that good feeling on my own (who needs jet propelled water, anyway?). But I never knew what it really was. I was quite the naïve one.

Life continued for me, and all the way through high school, I never touched anyone but myself (pun intended), though by this time I knew what I was doing. That knowledge contributed to a great amount of guilt on my heart. I felt that I was betraying my family, friends, and religion, and that I wasn't worth the façade I'd been putting on all those years. Still, I kept my mouth shut, and continued to "sin."
