This story was written because a female reader sent me an email asking if I got as aroused while writing a story as she did reading it. Let me tell you, it was very hard (no pun intended) for me to answer such a personal question.

Jake sat at his desk playing Free Cell, bored. For the past week he had been wracking his brain trying to come up with an idea for a different theme for a story. He had been writing erotica for a number of years, all for his own enjoyment. It was just a couple years ago he discovered a web site entitled "Erotic Stories." After reading several stories, he thought to himself, <wonder how my writing stacks up with theirs?> It was several weeks later before he scrounged up the courage to submit a short story. The next day, when he actually saw his story "published" on the web, he was elated. Then when the votes started adding up, and the emails came in telling him how erotic his story was, he was elated. There was just one problem; he couldn't go out and brag to anyone about what he had done, so he kept it bottled up within himself and submitted another story, then another. Some were short, others long, in five to eleven segments. Most were received favorably. But still there was something missing. He didn't know what until the email arrived.
