The forty-minute ride to the small island was very nice on the smooth waters of the huge bay. Elaine packed a lunch and cold beverages for her husband, herself and their guide. But Elaine's husband came down with a stomach flu at the last minute. He insisted Elaine go anyway, as he didn't want to ruine the day for her, and he told her he would feel better the next day if he just slept the rest of the afternoon.

Burton, their guide, also owned the small resort where Elaine and her husband Bob were staying. This was their last week of vacation, and Elaine felt bad because Bob would miss this day long outing to the remote island.

Burton pulled the boat up on the beach of the isolated island and Elaine layed a large blanket on the sand in the shade of some trees that lined the edge of the desolate beach.

Elaine and Burton sat and talked while they shared some snacks. After an hour or so Burton decided to go swimming. after about twenty minutes he returned and sat next to Elaine.

Elaine found herself sitting close to him, their hips and shoulders touching. She surprised herself for being so relaxed with a man she had only met several days ago.

Burton, a man ten years older than herself, turned and hugged her ...
