Might of Atlantis This is a total fantasy and the first such I have ever written. All my other stories have some basis in facts. So be kind when you judge.

I remember my people and my homeland. Turtle Island the land the great spirit brought our people to. I remember the joy of hunting alone and bringing food to my tribe. Then one day I found the great water and saw the great canoes sailing toward the land upon white wings. I stood upon the shore and watched as they landed upon the shore. These people were strange to my eyes. Their skin was paler than any people I had ever saw and their hair was of the color of Ocher, the bright red of the setting sun. Suddenly the shore was filled with them and they saw me. I was filled with fear seeing these strange people who moved in great canoes with the aid of white wings. I grasped my war club tightly as they encircled me. Wondering if they were some kind of spirit and what would happen if they moved closer. Suddenly one threw a net over me trapping me. I was caught like the fish and the small birds we used nets to capture. I struggled fearsomely in the nets but was soon overpowered and beaten.

I awoke later and found myself with strange bonds of metal on my wrist and legs surrounded by dead wood that rocked alarmingly and made strange creaking noises.

Many times of sleeping and waking passed. Then I was pulled struggling ...
