It was Fourth of July weekend and my wife and I were preparing to go on a camping trip. It had been years since I had been camping and was quite excited about getting out there and roughing it for a few days. I had insisted that we take a tent and only the basic necessities for the three-day adventure. Which consisted mostly of food and lots of beer.

I already had the truck packed and ready to go when my wife arrived home from work Friday afternoon. When she walked in I could tell right away that she was going to say something I didn't want to hear.

"What is it dear?" I asked

"Well your going to be mad, but I kind have invited a friend from work to go with us for the weekend".

"What"??? I blurted out before thinking. I had been so looking forward to spending some time alone with my wife. We didn't seem to get much of that anymore and our sex life had really suffered.

"Well your always saying how you wish we had friends to do things with, and she said she wasn't doing anything for the weekend and sounded so excited about the idea of going camping. She said she's never been. I guess I felt bad not asking her to go with us."
