It's hard to believe that it was 5 years since we graduated high school. I felt like I really hadn't accomplished anything since it took me all of those 5 years to graduate college and I was searching for a job without much luck.

When the invitation arrived to attend the 5 year reuinion, I thought, what the heck, should be interesting to see if any of these people have changed at all.

I drove to the sports bar where the reunion was to be held. I thought it odd that the event was just being held in the bar, but then I figured that most people were like me, without money and willing to go anywhere if drinking was involved!

I wandered in and ordered a beer as I scoped out the crowd. In a class of 300 there were faces I recognized, but not people I had hung out with. I finally found some of the football players and was chatting with them a while. The crowd began to swell, most people were there by themselves a few were married. Some that were married chose to attend by themselves anyway.

As the night progressed I had settled in to a table with some good friends from the past. We did the usual catch-up on what everyone had been doing and about memories of stupid things we did when we were in high school. ...
