Amanda smiled at her reflection in the mirror. Her new diamond stud earrings sparkled in her ears. Tonight she would go for the necklace. Or a new jacket maybe. But not a ring, that would be too permanent. Amanda followed the money, and she had learned in her 25 years that they would only hand it out for so long. So she left when it did.

Her latest boyfriend was a forty-one year old computer geek named Vincent. He had just divorced after a difficult 18-year marriage to an alcoholic. Amanda was his first girlfriend in 20 years.

He was an easy target, too. His wife had been pushing him around for almost two decades, so he offered little resistance to taking orders from a woman.
