Haille sat back in the conference room, working on the laptop updates. Her shift was supposed to end in 15 minutes, but she decided she would stay and finish. After all, it was so rare that she got to work closely with Don, and she loved to sneak glances at him. It gave her a rush of exhilaration as she quickly looked away, wondering if he noticed.

Don walked in with the last of the laptops.

"Well, this is everything," he said. He was in his usual uptight, businesslike tone.

"I guess I'll be going now," Haille said. He leaned over the counter, fixated on the computer. She took the opportunity to steal a long gaze at him. She looked at his face, his lips, imagining them on her body. She found herself looking at his crotch, wondering what was really underneath those slacks. She glanced away quickly.

Don looked up as she snapped the last laptop closed and headed for the door.

"Wait," he said. "I think we need to talk."

She looked at him. Something in his tone made her heart jump.
