The waitress smiles at David sitting quietly sipping his drink. She notices he seem a bit sad swirling his soda with his straw. She turns to deal with her section. Soon her attention returns to David, still stirring his drink just as before. Her mind was consumed with him.

"Why is he sad?" she thought. She can't take it, makes her way to approach him. "Hi, my name is Lori, can I get you anything?" she asks.

David looks up, smiles politely. Clearly, his mood is very dismal. "No thank you, Lori." he replies. "I am supposed to be waiting on someone."

His mood lightens a bit. "Maybe I should just take you with me instead." he remarks humorously.

"Where to?" she asks with excitement of meeting someone new. She hopes he's not freak. Nevertheless, she throws caution to the wind.

"To my new place. It's an apartment that over looks the lake."

She smiles, brushing her hand though her hair. " Sounds like a great place." she says.

"Would you like to see it?" David goes out on a limb and asks her.
