Chapter One

In which I become used to the ways of the house

"That's right lads, stand her up. Tie her to the post so they can see her" Rough hands dragged me to the post in the centre of the ring and tied the ropes to my wrist, then hauled my arms over my head, before tying them to the ring suspended from the ceiling. The same hands then spread my legs and tied my ankles to the rings in the floor.

"That's good lads," he said, then raising his voice shouted, "Now, what am I bid for this young slave. She's got plenty of work in her, and she's a comely wench, maybe she'll do some of you fine gents for some evening diversions - if you know what I mean", he grinned a wolfish grin. "So, who's going to start me off, let's start at $50"?

There was silence. I tried not to look around, but I knew what was coming.
