Dania's Story

When Akira came into Dania's life, Dania knew that she could finally put her past behind her. But she knew without that past she would never have found Akira. And if she had, she would not have appreciated her as much as she did. But before we get to Akira let us go back to the beginning, to Dania's beginning.

Dania was the forth of five children and her mother always considered her the black sheep of the family. It was not that she was a bad child. But when you are born in a country where religion has a major influence over everyone's life and especially the lives of women you can run into problems if you do not conform. Dania was a person that though no fault of her own, did not conform to the standards set by her religion or her family. Dania was considered plain when compared to her sisters. That does not mean that she was not pretty, she was in her own way, but not pretty like her sisters were. She also made her own footsteps instead of walking in the footsteps of others. She was a tomboy growing up and did not like girly things. That to say the least was not acceptable to her mother. When her mother wanted her sisters to become a nurses they became nurses. When her mother wanted her sisters to get married, they got married. But when her mother wanted Dania to become a nurse, she refused. When her mother wanted her to get married to a man her mother had picked out, Dania refused. Needless to say she and her mother did not get along and she was far from her mother's favorite ...
