I sighed nervously as I waited. Today I was meeting Joe for the first time.

"This is crazy!" I thought. I had been married nearly 10 years to a wonderful man, and despite this, I was here to meet a man I barely knew. Joe had instant messaged me just the night before, capturing my attention from the start. He was blunt and straightforward, and I liked it. He told me he was a busy law student, age 35 and single, who was looking for a sexual relationship with a woman. No strings, no relationship... just sex and fun and friendship.

"Wow." I thought. Joe had no idea I had been contemplating the idea of an affair for nearly a year. I had married my husband at age 18, and even though I was very happy with him, I always felt I had missed out. My sexual experience was limited to only my husband and one other man... and I desperately wanted to spread my wings and experience more sexually. By the end of our three hour conversation, I had agreed to meet him. While we made no promises to do more than meet, I had a feeling I'd be in his arms before the night ended.

I told my husband I was going out with the girls tonight... and said I'd be home around midnight. I felt terrible for lying, but was still incredibly excited at the prospect of meeting Joe. I looked at my watch. 7pm. He'd be here any second.
