A wonderful moment as fleeting as a breath, but like breathing, she wanted to do this over and over again, to bring life back into her heart, to find out the secret to the life that she had lost. Chrissi found herself sitting alone on the balcony watching the sunrise as Juls slept in their bed. "Our bed," she thought silently to herself as she closed her eyes, smiling; reminiscing, with her back up against the wall, she let the soft coolness soothe her skin as she thought about her past week with her lover. She didn't want to think about going home, but she knew it was inevitable, she had to go back home in 2 days.

As she sat and thought about the past, and possible future; she wondered if she would be able to walk away as easily has her heart had. Fear resided at home, with a spouse who possesed a violent temper, and spout steadily spiteful words. She wondered how her children were coping with her time away, and began to feel a twinge of guilt. She was happy for the first time in years, and felt guitly for being happy when she knew deep down that her children were most likely miserable at home with their father.

"Things have to change, now," she thought to herself and began to think of ways to take her children and leave, and at the same worried about the consequenes in-between. She knew there was bound to be trouble. She quietly took another sip of her coffee, and watched the sky change from a brilliant red to shades of purple and yellows, as the clouds parted ...
