Nadine looked at the clock in her car and sighed as she realized she still had 45 minutes left before she arrived at her hotel in Santa Fe. She was finally going on a well deserved, two week long vacation by herself. She decided to go to Santa Fe.

As a child Nadine had gone to just about every city in New Mexico, but she remembered Santa Fe as being the best. She remembered how she would sit on her dad's shoulders and wave at people in the small parade that would make its way around the brick roads. She laughed out loud as she recalled the rodeo she had been to.

Nadine began to make a list in her head of everything she would do while there. She stared out the windshield almost as if she were in a daze as she slowly forgot to watch for her exit. Her tires squealed as she barely slowed enough to make the turn.

She began to watch for the hotel she had stayed in so many times before. She recalled how the pool was open until one AM and there were no lifeguards. There was one door that led into the pool area and one window that looked outside into the small yucca garden that was cared for by a cute young boy. Well, at least he used to care for it, she thought to herself. Maybe he still works there and he's a sexy hunk now, she thought. Then she turned into the parking lot.

After she had parked, she walked into the front lobby with her suitcase. ...
