Hawaiian Housewife's Las Vegas Vacation

For Leslie Summers, it had been a trying day of ups and downs. After breaking one of her unwritten marital agreements the night before of never going to bed without resolving an argument, she had awaken the next morning after the fight, determined to settle things before waking the kids for school. She went into the living room, before struggling to wake the kids, to try and settle things with her husband.

As she sleepily made her way into the living room, the whisps of sunrise just beginning to peek through the closed curtains, Leslie discovered Al wasn't on the sofa where she expected to find him. Trudging over to the window, she peeked through the curtains to find that his pickup truck was gone as well.

"Damn," she whispered to herself. "Guess he'll just have to stew all day at work!"

After getting the kids up and off to school, Leslie settled down in front of an empty canvas in her in-house studio, hoping to channel her ...
