Two weeks later, spring semester classes were set to start. The first Soc class was on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00, so after lunch, Kelly left the lab, saying she'd stop back before going to class.

At 2:30 Don heard the lab door open and looked up from his work. For a brief instant he didn't recognize the girl who entered, but in a second it dawned on him that this was Kelly.
