I met Tina at our favorite Italian restaurant. It is a very small establishment, but if you are at all familiar with Italian restaurants, you know that some of the best have very small dining areas. We ordered a bottle of red wine and chatted about the day's events.

Tina was very relaxed and under control. A characteristic I had noticed quite a bit over the past week. It seemed that ever since that dumb bet, she has become a new person. Very confidant and comfortable making any decisions. In fact she had been making almost all of the decisions.

Dinner was magnificent as usual and as we sipped on coffee she informed me that we would be going to a nightclub across town that her friends had told her about. As she described the place I noticed a bit of a twinkle in her eye. Over the past several days I had learned to dread that twinkle.

We jumped in the car and drove across town to what looked to be a one-time warehouse, turned nightclub. The wait out front was fairly long, but she told me to park near the back of the lot where there was a side door. I wondered how she would know about this other door; ...
