I graduated from college with a MBA in 1987 and left full of vigor and enthusiasm, but soon found that few wanted to employ a young black MBA. I spent a year looking for a job then started my own computer consulting and training business. Small at first but now at the age of 33 I have a very success business that employs over 45 people.

Knowing how hard it is, to get your foot in the door, I look for young graduates and offer a good payment package, for those willing to work. One such young man was Mike. He had been with my company for a little over a year and I enjoyed both Mike and his wife Jenni. I have seen them at a few of the company parties and Jenni always looked beautiful. The holidays were upon us and I thought it would be a nice move to offer a promotion to a couple of my top performers. Mike, Larry and Susan were at the top of my list.
